I have a friend on one of m horse racing forums whose husband plays for the Cincinatti Reds. So we had been in touch and she said that if I wanted tickets when they were in town to play the Phillies, just let her know what game. They have a four game series and I can't do Weds and Thurs. games due to class so I picked tonight. We didn't have to pay for the tickets (obviously) and I got food at Wawa to bring in so I ended up spending $11 for the whole evening. And the seats we got were incredible. We were right behind home plate. I took Andi (who has become my Phillies and FM travel buddy..lol). The weather was fantastic.

And then the Phillies went on to win 22-1. LOL. Seriously, it was nuts. They couldn't update the scoreboard fast enough. It was 17-1 in the 8th, bases loaded, Jayson was up and I said "Wouldn't it be funny if Jayson Werth hit a grand slam right now?" next thing I know, he does.  The last game she and I went to was in April where the Phils won 11-4. I'm thinking we might need to go to more Phillies games. Too bad I can't afford it.

It was super nice of my friend to do this for me. I'm on cloud nine. It was just incredible. But kinda embarrassing for the Reds. :(

In other craziness of the evening, Dad finally FINALLY broke down and bought a flat screen. Not just any flat screen, a 46 inch..lol. After he'd been dragging his feet for so long, might as well have gone all out..hahaha.

That's it, it's past midnight on a work night. Going to bed.
